The remaining fertile soils gave life to these hills which were inhabitated and cultivated as far back as the Etruscan era. The Etruscans left their indelible marks on the land with ancient roads and tracks that we can still ride along today during our tour, visiting picturesque villages and hamlets where many famous people lived, Leonardo da Vinci among them!
